Default Auto Transmission... need HELP.

Hey guys, well this is just great. This always happens when i put cars back on insurance. So I insured the sc400 no more than 3 days ago to get to work and not take my moms van. I spent a bunch of money fixing her up. Now all of a sudden my tranny is acting up.

when i go from P -> R or D or whatever, its as if the car is in neutral and only when i give it a little throttle it goes into gear and jerks *because its at 1500-2000 rpm*. It does this while im driving, stopping and coasting.

Fluid is clean, and full. Its making no noise and has no problem staying in gear. Im not an auto tranny specialist, but i beleive theres no line pressure thats causing this. WHY? clutch packs dead? Stuck valve bodies? I dont know (thats why im askin).

So what do i do? I fear this is a problem only pulling it and checking it and repairing it would fix. If that is the case ide rather not get raped and just pickup a used tranny to throw in for now. Which while were on the subject of worst case scenario, do the JZ auto trannies bolt up with no modifications?

Thanks in advance.

update: tranny fluid everywhere, cant beleive i didnt notice this before. Very low, just barely registers on the dipstick.

od flashing now. Gonna go get some trans fluid fill her up and see where shes leaking from, what are the main places? Pan and drain i figure. Is it a gasket on the pan or that goo stuff toyota uses on oil pans?

Do you think my tranny will survive? I sure hope so ...

Toyota uses sealant on the tran pan.
Could be leaking from there, or from a coolant line

there is a kick down cable on the drivers side, and the oil cooler lines are on the pass side.

Glad I could help!
