well i was gonna see if anyone knows of free mods for the SC400s....

i know LS1's have a bunch of free mods that you can do to them....so i was just seein if there were any i can do for the Lex...

Yes they tailored the car to the clientele. In the Lexus world making HP is going to cost you.

egr block off, coolant bypass, fuel dampening bypass, eliminate charcoal canister. some of these dont add power but simply clean up the engine bay. no free mod will add hp to our cars like an ls1

can you tell us more about the fuel dampening bypass and eliminating the charcoal canister? I assume taking both these off doesnt help with HP, just to clean up the engine bay, right? And i was under the impression we needed those things? i most certainly do not know, so maybe you can explain. thanks

I used to have an LT1 and on my SC400 I did a few things like

1)Throttle Body coolant bypass
2)BFI with a K&N filter
3)remove MAF screen
4)pulled screw out of lower tunnel on MAF and epoxied hole on side closed
5)remove resonators before rear mufflers
