Question Master/slave cylinder question.

Hey Fellas,

Upon searching, apparently my current dilemna relates to a master/slave cylinder issue. My clutch pedal will depress all the way down and to no avail will not come up unless pulled up manually from underneath. Car idles fine and stays normal upon start up Btw.

I have yet to go back to the SC and check my clutch fluid level. I will keep my fingers crossed, however I would not be surprised if it were to be my master/slave cylinder taking a crap on me. With about 170k on the chasis/trans. There is a fairly new ACT 6 puck and resurfaced stock pressure plate.

Should this be the issue, would anyone have an idea of how much the 2 afermentioned items would set me back in cost? If anyone might have any other ideas what my problem might be, please speak on it. Thanks in advance for everyone's inputs.

-mike.

I am having the same problem but not as bad. I noticed that when the weather got under 30 degrees my clutch would drepress all the way down and come back out about 1/2 the way and get stuck and then pops back out making a popping soung.

sounds pretty much right, but the thing is my car is garaged *sigh* So i don't know what else it could be. It is driveable, but I don't want to drive it anywhere except to the shop.

Would it be pretty safe to say that I'm correct in my assumption of what the problem could be, anyone please chime in if there's any other ideas.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? I tried moving my car earlier and it would only engage when off. looks like I may have to tow it to a shop

anyone in the md/dc/va area able to lend a helping hand, point me in the right direction, or have a nice deal for a flat-bed?

I apologize if I may sound rash at all. Ive just been in a state of panic, and of course frustrated. I have found some links through search here, but just want more confirmation of the problem and as many avenues for a solution possible.

Have been there before, I changed the slave cylinder first, then ended up changing the master when that didn't work.
changing the master did it for me, but it could be either one of them.
