hey all...i was lookin for some info on which internals some you are runnin to give me and idea for my na-t build im planing

Put a thicker headgasket on it and turn the wick up!

all u need is a thicker head gasket. go with a stock TT one. then u can go boost happy. til u wrap urself around a tree.

oh dont listen to that head gasket bull shizz i went with 20 over cp pistons and some carrillo h beams cp are a great deal but if your not looking for crazy a$$ power then u can opt for some cheaper rods like crower

i jus wanna be able to push the car a lil harder and since i dont kno exactly how the previous owner treated the car..id rather be safe then sorry..at clubna-t they said i should jus put in TT intenals so that i could boost more..ill get some more feedback before i decide...all the info you got would be aprreciated..i.e -- your set-ups

The internals in your GE motor are fine if you're after a mild na/t setup... don't fix it if it ain't broke. If something goes wrong...... just go back to the proven factory internals - whether GE or GTE. Dave has been blowing down 9-second-passes on a factory 150k mile shortblock for a while now.

cool..thats what he said on clubna-t..so i think that will be my final choice...now im in search of the right turbo set-up..thanks all...jus wondering..what can my stock tranny handle...should i go to a supra 6 spd?..

If your stock auto you're looking at about 300rwhp safely, but if you've got a 5-spd they range in power handling based on how you treat them. Torque ultimately kills the W58.........

CP pistons are good stuff and affordable as well. Then rods it depends what you want to spend and power you are after. I would worry more about transmission at that point.

thats my next concern..what tranny can handle the power im lookin to through down...400-500hp..

not sure if this is correct but i was told that you can send in your auto tranny to get a few things done and they will hold power not sure what those few things are but thats what i heard. not to helpful but will do some reseaqrchg and find out for sure good luck with project
