i have been looking at new clutches too. and well i ran across a couple of tthreads on ebay clutches. i said dont waste ur time. buying a good clutch will last u for a long time. getting a crappy one, u can end up replacing sooner. the ones off mvpmotorsports arnt even that much more. there is this big thing with exedy clutches on ebay. there are ALOT of fakes out there.

sorry to steal this thread, but if your clutch is hard to press in, does that mean i have to replace the clutch? or is it just the cables for the clutch? it the gears go in, but the clutch is stiff.

No, clutch pressure has to do with A.) the pressure plate, and B.) the clutch hydraulic system. Either you have an aftermarket pressure plate in there, or maybe your slave cylinder is going out?

As for the eBay clutch, I replaced my clutch a year ago with one of those $100 ones and I have been very happy with it. They're perfect for a daily driver, nice pedal feel, no slipping with normal driving, etc. Thats my input, take it or leave it, but hey if you're strapped for cash and your SC needs a clutch, have no worries about using an eBay clutch

Question? Is it the clutch or syncromesh that makes the car not want to accelerate while driving in 3 to 5th. If i floor it rpms go up but the car doesnt, and when i let off it sorta jerks forward as if it wanna accelerate. It still drives and accelerate but I cant speed up or pass anyone without "slipping"?

its DEFINITELY not the synchronizers. It may be the clutch. A good test is to get going in 1st or 2nd, then FLOOR it and if the car doesnt go but the rpms do, then your clutch is mostly likely slipping. You should be able to feel it in the pedal

it doesnt do that in 1st sometimes in 2nd, but definately in 3rd all the way to 5th. Now i think about it, its slow to accelerate in 1st too. Im juss tryna avoid thinkin its the clutch lol I appreciate it. You know how much it usually run 2 replace if i go to the dealer? (i wanna get a loaner for a couple days )

your looking at around 1k to get the dealership to do it. its costly and can be done in only a few hours if you have simple hand tools.
