Talking NX wet nitrous kit install TPS wire

I picked up a wet NX nitrous kit off a friend that has barely been used. Included a blow down tube, full bottle, NX throttle position activation switch and a gauge. I started installing it this morning and everything is going fairly smoothly.

Bottle, gauge, down tube, soldenoids, nozzle, and all lines are installed. Power and grounds have been run to their destinations. I'm running jets for the 75 shot and I'm awaiting a new fuel pump before instaling jets for 150hp.

Much like the ZEX kit, the tps switch needs to be connected to the factory ecu wire that reads 4.0V or higher at wide open throttle.

Does anyone know which wire on the ecu this is or have a pinout for my 92 SC400?

well I downloaded the SAFCII pin out diagrams for each application and it shows the TPS wire so I'm going to try that out.

I dont believe the SC series car doesnt have a shrader valve on the fuel line factory, so good luck with your fabrication.

the kit has an fittings but I have a T so that the fuel line connects to a T. I just need to find a 5/16 or so high pressure fuel line (rubber) so that I can cut it and T into it.

Anyone know a good source for a high pressure fuel line under the hood? All I can find is the factory fuel pressure regulator. It has a banjo bolt and a hard line though

I posted on a local forum to me and got a lot of response.

Cleanest method is to install a B&M fuel pressure gauge with hollow bolt or a double banjo bolt with Earls PN 997641 - 10mm banjo to -4AN

Been out of town for a while and just saw your post. Did you find the TSP wire ? I have the Zex dry hooked up on my 97 SC400. I ran into the same problem with the fuel pressure rail. The banjo is the best thing. I ended up running the adjustable fuel pressure reg with Upgraded pump and reg had a outlet to put another fuel pressure tap.

IMO the fuel pressure guage is a waste of time. I would install a Hobbs fuel pressure safety switch instead ( from NOS ). Even if you are reading guage and fuel pressure is low, stock fuel pressure on SC4 @ WOT is 38-44 PSI, you won't be able to do anything about it at WOT. Hobbs will not allow Nitrous if fuel is not correct.

Yep I found the TPS wire on the ecu. It was in the SAFCII pin out diagrams that is available in on the apexi home page

Yah I discovered that I can just order the hollow bolt so I might just do that and not bother with the gauge. A fuel pressure safety switch is an excellent idea!

I've got a walbro GSS431 255 pump coming as well that should be here tommorrow.

which adjustable fuel regulator are you running and where did it mount to?
also did you retard your timing?

Used a Aeromotive FPR. Forgot what model was. Think it was the same as they use on the SC300 and Supra. You need a elbow to mount it. It would not clear when the hood was down. It mounts on the Pass side rear fuel rail where in place of the factory FPR. *Used a Unichip ECU to retard timing, progressively control spray. adjust fuel, and cut Nitrious at Factory rev limit.

Hobbs FP Safety switch is best $50 you can spend.

thanks for your reply.
very nice setup.

One last question is which spark plugs are you running ?

I'm going to pickup the B&M gauge right now because its in stock at a local parts store. The fitting would be weeks away direct from B&M so I'll just have to use the gauge for rice effect.

I installed the fuel pressure gauge and fittings today and took it for a few runs with 75HP jets. Wooo feels great 2nd gear chirp on 245's on heavy 18s ha

Intake is the only mod I have.
BFI with new K&N drop in filter
oil changed
92 octane

I picked up my walbro 255 and I'll install it this afternoon and put the 150 jets in when they arrive.

edit: a great how to install fuel pump write up by Bean made the pump install a snap.
