5 speed swap info???
hi im new to this forum, i understand that there may be a thread about this already sorry if so....
i have a 92 sc3 with auto and wanting to convert to 5 or 6 speed
i understand ill need transmission, drive shaft, pettal assembly, clutch master cylinder, slave, and clutch/flywheel....
does this swap re-quire ecu change? on 240sx it wasnt necessary....
allot of cars only require to hook up the spedo sensor
also would there be a problem with the rear end? whats the rear end gear ratio diffrence?
any thing else i should know?

Quick, before Mikeloc gets over here, go to that nice shiny white box at the top left of every screen and search your butt off. I guarantee you will not have enough hours in 7 days to read the number of threads that already discuss/debate/bench race/test/etc/etc/etc this issue.
Welcome to CL!!!! I only give you this advice to help make your time here more pleasurable!

Yeah, that they do!
Mike, I was considering putting my location as Middlesex Cty NJ jail, but I just don't think it'll have the same impact as yours. What do you think?

ok found threads tellin me what is needed for the 5 speed sorry for my ignorance....
but what i dont understand is.....
why do u have to change the differential?
obviously its open diff and it sucks, but it seems that the diff would be identical on the out side usually its the internals such as gear ratios that differ from auto to 5 speed....
any one knowledable on this???
