Occasional Trouble Starting
Hey all,
I just did some reading and it seems a few other members have had trouble starting. My "problem" isn't the same so here it goes...
1) 1992 sc400 250300km
2) I don't drive the car that often anymore. Maybe 2 times a week. Sometimes the car is left sitting for upto a week.
3) I have trouble starting the car after not driving it for days.
4) When the car is warm it has no trouble starting.
5) I took the vehicle out of winter storage in May.
6) I got an oil change, replaced the battery and a "new" tank of gas is in the car.
So lets say I have left the car to sit for a week. When I go to start the car, it makes the noise that it is starting (I don't know the techincal term... cranking?), but that noise continues upto 3 seconds until the engine finally fires up. When the engine does fire up, it takes a second or two to sound "right". During those 1-2 seconds, it sounds like the engine is struggling to sort itself out. (Its not that authoritative, "VROOM" startup)
What do you guys think?
Thanks!
Michael
