Default Best HP intake SC4 ?

I did a search and was wore out reading but still did not see answer.

For a 97 SC400. Whos intake makes the most power. BFI ?
Saw a lot of intake info for the 98 + V8's but not 97 and older. Thanks for you help and any links would be helpfull..

i would just do a BFI set up with a TRD panel filter. I have the RMM intake set up- no major changes other than sound.

regardless, your not going to see major changes from an intake set up- your intake will become louder, the car will sound a bit differrent- but thats about it.

It seems the major reason for no increase in performace is due to sucking in hot ambient air.
Do you think building an airbox would do the trick of providing more performance gain than the BFI?

Nope- the stock set up is pretty decent. Your not going to see major gains other than looks and sound. I have a heat shield now, and there is no change. Our engine is not going to make major changes from this.

If you want to feel a change in HP get some forced induction, some major engine mods (cams, heads, pistons) or start force feeding it Nitrous.

I didn't mean a heat sheid that comes with the injen intake. I meant a complete box. Did you build a cold air box?
