Default Ran a Bit Better at the Track Last Night

It was about 80 degrees here in Montgomery last night. The track was about average for MMP - not too good, but not too bad. All 3 runs were with 93 octane on 16psi which I run on the street and the crappy 245 All-Season's. The first run I pulled in the staging lanes immediately after arriving because there was no wait. I bogged the first pass; then I finally got it going and hit second with only minor wheelspin. Third and fourth went by quick. I tried to avoid going into fifth and ended up bouncing off the rev limiter in fourth. I knew it was going to be a good trap because it will do 127mph in fourth!

Here's how it went:
60'----2.421
330---6.181
1/8---8.921
MPH--91.13
1000-11.219
1/4---13.122
MPH--118.87

With how many things went wrong on that run, I figured I could have pulled at least a 12.XX and something over 120mph by going into fifth a little early. That wasn't the case. I ran two more times with massive wheelspin in second. The second run had me looking at the wall on the left for a bit until I backed out of it. Letting out both runs still resulted in decent traps. Here they are:

Run #2
60'----2.642
330---6.652
1/8---9.537
MPH--89.13
1000-11.901
1/4---13.842
MPH--116.98

Run #3
60'----2.551
330---6.236
1/8---9.074
MPH--88.84
1000-11.458
1/4---13.415
MPH--116.21

Hopefully next week I will have some 285's (I have 245's now) and a little better traction. Oh well, it was fun.

Well, the huge front mount takes away from being a "sleeper", but I imagine you still suprise alot of people on the street and on the strip!

The car has a severe vacuum leak. When you floor it, the car just bogs. You have to ease into the gas and let it barely make boost then go full throttle. That makes launching a chore. I am no amateur at racing - I have had about 7 different fast cars and have made over 500 drag strip passes. I can only go full throttle after about 1-2 seconds into the run. When the car hits full boost in second, it goes sliding all over the strip. I only ran the car in its state to see about what it traps. Once I get some free time to find the vacuum leak and convert the S-AFC to a MAP sensor, I will run again with some good 1.8-1.9 60's. If I can go full throttle the whole run and go into fifth it should run a mid-high 11 with about a 122-124mph trap. It will be fun.
