kaaz lsd
I installed a kaaz LSD last weekend and my install went great. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The gear bolts eventually came off(with an impact wrench) and the diff bearings wern't that hard to remove. After I broke it in I had a little fun and wow the kaaz is quite aggressive...I like! If anyone has any questions about my LSD install I would be happy to help.
I ordered the turbonetics kit (after much thought about what's out there). I might post some pics of the install once i get it. Got a RPS max clutch on the way too.

I got the 2-way from driftfactory.com (dat3020) for my 5-speed sc300. It was $855 with shipping included and a free can of oil. You'll need one more can after you break it in. It is a big difference, but i know it will be 10x better when I get my turbo. It locks greater the more you accelerate or decelerate. kinda noisy at low speed turns, add some more throttle and the rear locks. Fun, I need power though.
Definately worth it and relatively easy to install.

I guess its just preference. I wanted a kaaz lsd when I had my civic, but got a type-R lsd. Now I have one(for my sc). Kaaz is a really good product I think. Required no shims, fit perfectly. Pretty sensitive to acceleration/deceleration too. I'm sure the TRD is fine too, but its 1.5 way right? Again, preference.

How do you know for sure TRD is same or better than Kaaz? Just wondering, I mean 2yrs ago I had TRD in my Supra and liked it.
But wondering what comparison data you have for this statement? Have you had a chance to pull apart and run both rear ends?
Jay
PS - TRD req'd shims to make it fit!
