i guess 1jz's being unicorn motors are no more huh

look out for the prices to go up

people are still arguing over displacement this is getting old.

if displacement is everything why are there 10,9,8 second 4 bangers running around, with maybe 1.6 or 2.0L.

to me a car with more displacement will get your blood pumping in ways a small motor could'nt.

but .5 ci, this is why you guys are ripping each others heads off.

understand something, there is no one way to make power. if you have no displacement, boost your a$$ off or get a 1500lb car or swap a bigger motor in. or if you wanna be the ***** drop a TTv8 into a miata and be king.

bottom line is you spend enough money you will have the fastest car, if a 1j and 2j got 15G's in upgrades, you're gonna just stand there and say that the 2j will be the victor, WHY for .5L, maybe if it was 1-2-or 3 extra liters.and who is willing to do the exact same upgrades as the next guy

i'm not saying that .5L ain't **** i'm just not willing to pay an extra $2500 for it, i'm possitive that if both engines were the same price no one would ever look at the 1j
but thats just me

Hey I have few questions.
Where did you get your complete swap for that price??
I'm looking for a automatic 1jz gte since the 5 spd cost more.
However , would the 1jz gte bolt up to the stock sc300 auto trans, driveshaft and rearend or do I have to get the complete 1jzgte auto, driveshaft, and rearend???

For your first question, its from JHot Exports...

as for the rest of your questions; they've been answered quite a few times in other threads... no point in asking them here... a jz block is a jz block is a jz block... they have the same bolt patterns...

I was actually at a local car show and someone came up to me and complimented my car... I was telling them about the swap I had planned, and he told me that he has 2 of the engines in his garage, and to make an offer. I'm picking it up possibly tomorrow now that I got some graduation money... I'll probably give him 900-$1000 even though I can get away with $800 probably. This is a full swap with complete uncut harness... I think the other one may be cut. He also has a complete Soarer front clip!

Hopefully he will also be able to help with any issues that come up when swapping it, since he did the swap a few times already on Supras.

I'm actually thinking of picking his other engine up and buying an auto $2000 SC300 and having the automatic TT SC3 for daily driving and the 5spd for modding.
