Oem Ram Air, cost $0
Economy ram air.
Cutt tabs at end and flip over.
Parts needed- 2 small wood screws and wire cutters to cutt tabs.
with 1 pic 2 more will follow.
I guess its 1 pic per post?

a very cool idea, it'd be interesting to see how it compares against the BFI...
The BFI, done completely correct uses the entire lower opening of the front bumper as a ram-air system
Then again, some people, like lazy old me, don't do the complete BFI

Feels like it pulls better mid and top end.
You could add a connecting funnel of some sort to the front of the bumper.
And finish it completely. I'll probably do that, something from home depot should work.
First pic- how it sits in car
2nd pic-looking thru front bumper grill after install.
3rd pic-there are 2 tabs at the end, you'll need to remove to fit in there properly.
After you flip it over and shove this piece back into the air box, screw in 2 scews on top since you have to remove tabs that use to hold this piece in place.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.
Warning- one of the bolts you need to remove is a ***** to reach, best tool for this is a 10mm ratchet rench or remove headlight and it'll be alot easier to get to.
Try it can't hurt anything.

It takes a good amount of water to travel up the funnel thru the filter, which it would have to be saturated first ,and then suck up thru the afm and up the large hose to the throttle body.
I use to drive a turbo charged car at 20psi , with the screen mesh air filter
in front of the front tire in the rain.
And yes I sucked up some water engine would stumble, of course I would let off. It would clear up and I would countinue driving and try not getting into boost and it would be fine (mind you this happen about 5-6 times) car still ran strong after this happened.
And this was with extreme forced induction(Turbo). N/A motors don't suck as much ,as forced induction motor.
If your afraid of hydolock, don't try it.
I live in Cali, and it hardly ever rains here.
