Default ecu issues

I'm getting ready to do a 1jz swap, and got all the info i need but the ecu is the only thing that i cannot find any info on.

my question is, the 1jz is a jdm engine so would'nt the ecu be in japanesse?

how do we get around this, or do you have to get a complete stand alone............

ecu's don't talk in english or japanese...they talk in 00000101110111100000111000. I believe you will need the JDM ecu, or else yes...go to a stand-alone. Search...there are lots of recent threads on doing the 1JZ swap.

i did search i found everything, but i was just curious about the ecu.

the 1jz soarer ecu is what you need

Make sure you get the correct one for your application. Not sure if it will apply to you or not but the ECU comes in 2 versions. A/T and M/T ....

well my car is a 5speed so i know i'll have to get a 5speed clip.

i can't wait to got this rolling, everyone's been telling me that i can't do it, and the wireing will kille me.

i know what i'm up against with the wireing, everything else in my book is easy.........
