Default 98 Supra Tranny in a 97 SC300?

I realize that in 98 VVti was introduced but I am unsure whether or not that affects the tranny. I simply want to know if a 98 auto tranny from a Supra (I believe US spec) would fit in a 97 SC300.

I don't think so.
And why would you want to do that?

If he has plans for boost it would be a great upgrade.
