Default Headers for the SC400

Guys,

For those that aren't aware JBrady has come up with some excellent info regarding the headers for our cars. Go to the GS forum and read page 22+.

this is the same problem that the 92-96 guys had with the australian headders.
Jbrady's guys headders still make no provisions for EGR sam as the australian headders.
both of the headders need to be modified to make them fit on the 92-96 sc400's.

for the 92-96 guys we are no better off than 3 years ago.

You only need to make one and yes it is hard. It isn't something you want Meineke to do.

Making an EGR port from the passenger side is not easy. First of all, its hard enough to install it without taking your motor out. However, you can try to use an EGR block kit. I was lucky enough to install my turbo header without taking the motor out. However, newer lexus have heat shield and its on the way.

Making sure you instruct the mechanic to take the header studs out. That way the header will slide right off instead of clearing the studs.

JBrady have tons of knowledge of designing headers and other things. I am 100% confident he will have an awsome header, but be prepare to pay for installation.

Nothing worse than paying more for installation than for the actual product!!

Peace,

Default Headers

Hey everyone not trying to get of the subject on the Sc lexus,

Was wondering do they have a header that will fit my 2004 Tundra double cab v8 4 wheel drive truck . any info would be appreciate?
and if so will it bolt directly to the stock exhaust or will there need to be some mods for them to bolt together?
