90,000 service if my SC400 is running great?!
I know there are millions of articles on the 90,000 service for the SC400/300, but my question is: I have 93k miles on my 97 Sc400, it's running perfect..although last time i had my oil changed, they suggested a transmission flush+new fluid....Do i really need to do my 90,000service change now? I'd hate to take it in, have the necessary parts bought+hand them to the mechanics, then i get the car by $500bucks later and it runs worse than it started. I've heard many horror stories of people just doing Maintanence by mileage and when they get their cars back, things start leaking..and overall the car runs worst after they had service on the car.
What do you guys thing...my car runs perfect right now. Eventually i'll have to take it in, but with all the lost mechanics at toyota or lexus dealers...i'm nervous they will F++k it up..then just tell me it wasn't a result of their service. (this has happened to 3 of my SC400 buddies-not in Memphis-different cities, different dealers..
Any Advice?

i just did the same on mine. i exactly talked to the lexus-dealer in stuttgart/germany what to do and what not. i replaced all oils and the spark plugs, air filter and had them tightened screws on the transmission. i brought my own oil, 0W30. fuel consumption dropped by 10%. had them my lights adjusted. 90000mile service costed me 250 dollars. i am happy i did. all dropouts are gone - runs much smoother - a pleasure to drive.
