Does anyone have Performance Pulleys on their 1UZFE?
I was thinking lately about replacing the OEM pulleys on my 1UZFE ('99) with performance pulleys. Although I have SRT Intake and Racing ECU, I feel it still doesn't have enough punch from 30+. Granted I think much of it is b/c the car is extremely heavy.
Either way I was unsuccessful in locating a site selling performance pulleys or the price.
Does anyone have them? Is there a noticable difference? The is engine w/ my upgrades is "supposed" to be around 395hp at the crank. I can leave billows of smoke from a stoplight with Eagle F1 tires. Not sure if this upgrade is what Im looking for.
What do you guys think?

Who said it's "suppose" to have 395hp at the crank? Is it turbo'd or supercharged? If not... . I wouldn't be going off those very inaccurate #'s.

newguy,
IMO your crank 395 hp calc is overly optimistic. Unless you have a 50 shot of NO2 that you are calculating in that I'm not aware of....
The 'max' performance claim by SRT (also optimistic) is +30HP and +40ft/lb torque at the crank
The peak claimed HP of most aftermarket exhaust systems are +5 or + 6 hp. Most cars on the dyno with the vvt-i 1UZ engine in a GS see 1 or 2 hp difference max at the rear wheel.
Unless you're doing nitrous or FI, there really aren't any other power-adders you can claim HP on at this point unless I'm missing something. Torque converters and increasing your gearing does not increase your HP. So...
290 HP stock
+30 HP intake
+ 6 HP exhaust
==========
326 HP at the crank max
Maybe 395 was a typo?

Someone looking for me?...lol....it was a typeo was supposed to be 365, not 395. Either way it was an approximation (keyword "about").
Did anyone actually care to mention the pulleys?....lol...on the strip 30hp at the crank will not make-or-break you. And yes I have a limited slip TRD diff (not Supra) and Dragon Torque converter

Aftermarket headers (albeit I dont have them) and 2.5" exhaust piping, coupled with the 3" Intake would have been close enough to bridge the HP gap. No necessarily just Nos.
Speaking of that, have to find out if I can find someone is selling their custom headers for parts. Any leads?
