Soarer with RB26!!

Its all preferences i guess. I love the 1J and may never upgrade the block to a 2J even. As for the RB30, it was an australia only block with a single overhead cam. I believe it only came in the Commodore's for a while. Easy upgrade is putting the RB25 or 26 head on top and running with that. Pretty much like a 1.5JZ. Supposedly it starts off around 400hp and you go from there. Doesnt rev very high which is what people complain about mostly.
The R33 GTS-T manual trans is the exact same part number for the internals as does the R33 GT-R

i guess it's cool from a standpoint of saying "yea i put an rb26 in my lexus"... but other than that, it's just impractical. Most people will agree, the 2jz is a much better engine with aftermarket goals in mind... rb26's can't support 1000 horsepower on the stock block... no sir

Yeah i would say for me it wouldn't be worth the money and
would go with the 2jzgte swap for $$$ reasons, but if you
got the dough or got the skills why not? why doesn't
every one paint their supra's orange and get a bomex kit?
because people have different taste and want to
be different. As for 2jz being a better engine, who says?
this forum or supraforums? ( all bias opinions because
they don't own skylines or don't know the potential of the rb26 other
than the true tuners or machanics)
but as for your comment aftermarket products for the rb26 in
japan is ENDLESS and goes beyond the 2jz market over there.
what would be the reason for supplying turbo kits, fuel systems,
etc to the US market for only the couple of hundred skylines in the US?
(plus those guys can afford to get their crap shipped here anyways)
I've seen 900 made on stock block, but i'm sure there are 1000+hp out there in japan
or australia.

They look like LE37s to me. I find it hard to believe that the owner went all out on a motor swap and a full body kit and a rare hood only to skimp out on the wheels...
