By the way Twirl it did make a noticeable difference. I especially can tell a difference from 30mph up! It also changed the cars tone (stock exhaust) definite improvement. Next up “Dragon torque converter” cant wait!

Later,
Scott

Thats very nice man, you definately took your time with it.

I kinda half assed mine, since its temporary anyways (going turbo), so I only made the top cover on mine. But you did an amazing job on yours!!!

Good Job on the pics and description. I'm going to use your description to construct my own BFI. Just one question, how big must you crack the front air dam opening to get a good amount of air in? I have a 95 SC so no front grille to get additional air like yours.

Ignoring all the research time prior to actually doing the mod, I spent around 5-6 hours start to finish. I did probably have a slight advantage over the average guy being my garage is equipped with a Turret lathe, mill and about every cool tool known to man. I am an engineer but my side business is custom machine work, I have done a lot of custom bike parts.

Thanks,
Scott M.

Based on what I have seen on the internet that everyone else doing, the gap on mine should be sufficient by itself. The gap I created is almost equal to what my grill alone can furnish in air. FYI, I first ran mine with grill opening alone, next I dropped the air deflector into the path of air, I really could not tell much difference from grill only and the grill + scoop.

Thanks,
