Never trust the reported in-service date. Purchased used 2008 IS250 at the end of March. Carfax reported the in-service date as April 28th. Just called to purchase an extended warranty and was going to take it in for some TSB fixes, nothing major.

In service date was actually April 11th. If my navigation goes south my rage will be increased about %5,000.

 

I guses it's sort of implied that carfax is unreliable. Even accidents which may of ocurred may end up not getting reported too.
