Hi all.... im new to the forums and i was just wondering if there is anyone in norcal who has done the 2jz-gte swap in their sc300?

im a former sc400/mr2 turbo owner

I once saw an all stock-looking red one at the Stoneridge Mall trying to find parking. He had wheels, but that's all you could see on the outside. The BOV was a dead give away. I saw another one on 680S going to the Great Mall in Milpitas. It was white, had a sporty bodykit, and rims on it. This one easily sticks out in the crowd but that's about all I remember of it. Oh yeah incidentally I was also headed to the Great Mall that day, so I saw him on the freeway, and then ten minutes later parked at the mall. He had an FMIC in the front air dam. BTW, I'm not a mallrat, I just find them there .

If you talk to Hermosa in a few weeks, he'll have an SC300TT also (Sacremento). MadMaxSC400 is about to have an SC400TT (Marin).

 

just wondering if anyone had done it around here so i could see it. Im going to pick up my sc300 5 speed soon and im really considering a swap!

 

If you don't mind driving to Torrance in LA County, there's at least one guy that I know of down there with a 2JZ-GTE engine swap in his black SC300 5-speed. He recently raced and beat an NSX with some minor mods and a 100-shot of nitrous. There's a video of it on CL somewhere. Most of the big power SC300TT guys are in Texas, Florida, Illinois, etc... but soon Hermosa and maybe even PCMW will have SC300TTs. Both are in Sac.
