Auto Recycler (Junk Yard) - Review
Hey WA/OR guys,
I know some of you have a project car or daily driver so I will share my experience with the yard I went this morning to pick some parts up for my daily commuter car.
I-5 Auto & Truck Parts (Exit 171 on I-5)
*190 Estep Road, Chehalis, WA 98532
*360-262-3550
*M-Sat 8:30a-5:30p, closed for holidays.
*Cant' count numbers of cars there but maybe 3 times bigger than a Pull A Part in Lynnwood.
*Had lots of totaled cars with Insurance company's stickers on them.
*Take credit cards other than AMEX.
Took me about an hour and 40min this morning from Seattle. Easy to spot them as you drive near the exit. You'll see the big sign on your left (if you are going south bound on I-5).
I called ahead, got price quotes. (in my case the parts I need is $10x2, $35, $25) I was really happy since I found the same $10 parts for $45 each on Ebay. N**99 in Lynnwood once trying to charge me $75/ea. which I refuse to pay...too expensive.
I walked in, a guy behind the counter asked me if I brought my tools. After I replied "no", a worker came and took me into his van to drive into the yard. Afer 5 min of looking around in between massive numbers of cars, a worker took all the parts I need. They did not charge me for him to pull parts.
Overall, I liked this yard, price is really good, lots of different models. There was a IS300 there as well.
Unfortunately, they won't hold an item so you would need to go there and pick it up. I thought it was a great alternative to Pull-A-Parts.
I am not affiliated with this yard.
