Default Trustworthy Mechanics??

Hi All,

I have a 1997 SC300 and am from the Van Nuys area in Los Angeles county. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good mechanic in our area who is reasonable and most important has experience with the SC's?

I have taken my car to other mechanics who look like it'll be their first time working on my car and I usually don't want to trust them! Any feedback will help.

Thanks

you'll probably get a better response in the Socal section.

Default AC/Engine Problem

I just got a 1997 SC300, and the check engine light just turned on which made me very disappointed!

Aside from that, whenever I am at a red light and have the air conditioner turned on, my engine will make this wired jumping noise/movement. Its a very small jerking movement last about a second, but does it every time I am idle with my car on drive and the air conditioner is on. Does anyone know what may be causing this or how I can go about fixing it?

Thanks!
