Yes, it would have to be people in the greater Seattle area. I realize for others that live far south, north or in eastern Wa it is hard to make meets since the majority of us live around Seattle. Even today, 5/6 of us met in Mill Creek for the cruise down and it would have been 6/6 but one was late lol
Guys you also need to decide what your chapter is going to be about.... what are your plans as a group? What do you plan to do with a NWLOC (or whatever you'd like to call it ) that you wouldn't do exactly the same as you do in the 'Pacific' regional forum.
No offense intended at all by this - every member on our forum is valuable - but some of the folks signing up are not very active on CL. I don't want to create a forum that sits empty all the time and occasionally gets a "why doesn't anyone post in here anymore?" thread. Needs some folks to step up for long term ownership and organization.
I just read this.....Dave makes a great point. Plus, we all can fill our needs in the Pacific forum....Even though, the thought is great, we all can manage ourselves in the Pacific forum, I do believe. cheers
Part of the point to making a NW chapter is to actually form a community (club) in the NW, for example like NWN or Honda-Tech. We are trying to build the same thing as these website groups have done. So we can have a more official type thing to look forward to.
So I must stress to those of you who have put your name on our starting roster of people. This beginning list is for those of us who are SERIOUSLY wanting to make this happen. For example, keeping in touch with the NWCL thread coming out to meets, events, basically just truly being part of the NW chapter. It's not a "true" car club per say, but a community of people sharing the same interests. But the idea of trying to form a VIP style crew has crossed my mind once or twice. heh heh. Also knowing shops or working at certain places that can help our club strive and become larger or just plain help out would be great as well.
I don't know how often I'll be able to close up shop and make a 2hr trek to Seattle but I'm down for the forum and whatnot, and if anyone finds themselves in Port Angeles feel free to stop by the detail shoppe!
