Default Paint shops in LA area

Esteemed Group Members,

I need to repaint part or all of my cherished GS430, and wanted to see if any of you had any recommendations for the best paint shops in LA. I'm changing colors, so I need to get someone who's really good, cares about his/her work, and who's not too expensive (I'm figuring between $2K - $4K. Any more is not quite worth it. I do plan to keep the car for a long time.)

Thanks very much for any thoughts you might have -

Best regards,
Benjamin

Benjamin,

Moved your post to the Pacific forum where it will get more regional answers.

There have been a couple of posts in the past as well that ask similar questions ( I just searched for 'paint' in this forum)

Theres this place Davids Garage next to Wetworks Garage that is phenomenol.... they are the paint shop for several MB dealerships. Alot of classic cars come there to get paint jobs also. He has given me by far the best prices and I've become pretty well acquainted w/ him and he has given me great prices.

I originally chose him because I saw alot of classic cars and Mercedez benz cars from the dealerships in the front so I figured he must do great job.

I'm taking my car again there in the next 2 weeks to get it detailed and retouched up and all the rockchips. If you want you can come personally see the before and after of my car. I highly recommend him.... i'm actually really enthusiastic about how much he's done such a great job. Although he charges sort of high for wheel painting... but car paint he gives great prices.

Also he does car detailing there also and I'm doing that next week... .i'll let you know how good the detailing is.

shop is located in Stanton.... I give them 4 stars!!! i would give them 5 but the place doesn't look as professional as say M2 Collision or those higher end paint shops. But I'm dropping off my car anyways.. i dont need to hang out in no lobby...
