Lexus Mechanic Recommendation
I'm tired of dealing with dealership BS and then being bent over with the bill. I'm in the Seattle/Renton area and would love a mechanic recommendation. Thank you in advance.
I’ve heard nothing but great things about Federal Way’s Greg’s Japanese Auto — but there are several locations in the area with all reviews ranging above 4.4 stars.
Personally, I drive way out of my way to go to Lexus of Seattle (furthest away) and have been pleased with them so far. They offer military discount that the other two (same owner) stopped offering.

You’re in luck, there is an outstanding independent shop in Renton on Sunset Boulevard up from 405, Apex. His wife worked with my ex and he took care of her older GS300 Lexus before I met her. He’s a very talented engineer from Romania, opened a repair business when he emigrated way back to make ends meet, since he couldn’t be a high-end mechanical engineer here like there.
Anyway, Gagik (his name) runs a fantastic shop, Apex. He has very good and talented guys working for him and they are honest and intelligent. He’s helped me once on a problem I was stumped with and spotted it instantly (complicated timing problem). You can check his Google and carfax reviews, very high.
