Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knew any shops in California who deal with race prepping and fabrication. Mainly looking into building a track car and taking out anything in order to have a lightweight vehicle, mainly gutting the interior. I haven't decided on what car but I'm looking for a reputable shop that does this type of work. TIA.

 

Well, if you're in southern california the quickest way to get some reduction is to just park it in an empty lot with the keys hanging from the door. Gauranteed it'll be weighin' a lot less within a couple hours.

Now if you're looking for something more specific there's plenty of fabricaters. Of course I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'll check around. I know plenty of people who've built all out track cars... I'm sure one of them will know what's a good shop to go to.
