Default Vacation Mode for new NX

In past years for the summer 3 months when auto was locked in the home garage, I would disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and add about 5 pounds air to the tires. Can I assume I can do the same this summer?

Because the battery terminal has been disconnected, what settings must I redo when I return?

Buy for $20 simple battery conditioner/charger and connect it to car battery, when leaving it for extended period of time.

I wouldn't want to leave a battery on a tender for 3 months without anyone around. Battery charging is somewhat risky.

You won't lose much, clock and maybe a few personalizations...not a big deal.

BATTERY TENDER. Nothing risky in that, they charge and then go to monitoring when full charge accomplished. You can get solar one too.
Before you do this, remove battery clamps, clean everything, lubricate with dielectric grease, re connect and spray over with battery sealant.

BTW. You'd be better off leaving car on jackstands, wheels off the ground. So tires do not develop flat spots, especially if it's really hot summer and it's 200 degrees inside garage.

Yeah, and the number of stories I've read of batteries still failing while on tenders. Believe it or not, they do fail.
