Default different speed auto-mirrors

I just noticed that my right side mirror auto folds much faster than my left side auto mirror. Not sure if its a motor issue or if it was designed that way. Does anybody else experience this phenomenon?

Same speed on mine. I have no idea whether that's good or bad.

just to clarify: the right side mirror finished folding about 1.5 seconds before the left side mirror finishes folding (both in and out), so you may need to watch when they both stop to see the speed difference.

I have not seen that on any of our cars, You may want to speak to service about that.

Is the issue:

1) They're actually folding at different speeds?
or
2) They start folding at the same time but finish folding at different times?

#1 presents an issue. #2 is normal. The exterior mirrors are not positioned symmetrically on the exterior of the vehicle as the driver's seat is not in the middle of the car. Therefore, they are positioned to accommodate the fact that the driver's seat is on one side of the car. The mirrors have different distances to fold in/out due to this fact but the motors operate at the same speed, hence one side finishing quicker than the other. This is common on so many different car makes and models it's not even funny. People always think there's something wrong, but alas, this is normal.

We are measuring the speed of folding mirrors now? We are officially out of problems...

OMG I honestly thought I was going insane! This is the same thing that happens to my NX. Ironically, on our 2013 RX, the passenger mirror folds out and in faster than the driver as well. But on my Mom's GS, they fold in and out at the same time. Very weird behavior, I started to think maybe the passenger side doesn't fold all the way in like the driver side does but they look like they stopped at the same distance.
