Yokohama Geolanders + snow
#17
I'm back, the Yokohama fan... I actually have - for a week now - set of Cooper Evolution winter tires on mine. We had what is called Snowmageddon or Snowpocalipse, whoever you want to listen to, and I caved in. And it's supposed to snow on and off till mid March
Here's a surprising observation. they are more comfortable to ride on than OEM Geo-s. Must be soft siped rubber...

The air pressure might also be set to normal pressures, whereas the dealers are notorious for inflating on the high side of recommended pressures?

Intermediate
Tire dealers recommend winter tires when temperature drops down to 40F and below. This is because compare to all-season tires, the rubber in winter tires does not get harder as temperature drops. Softer rubber = softer ride. Softer rubber also has better grip with pavement.
