Default Big nose

Anyone else feel like the nose of this vehicle sticks out way too far? I feel like the design looks fantastic from every angle except a straight profile view. A bit unsightly with that shnoz.

Otherwise, love that car.

Your eyes saw what your hands bought. Start loving it.
Ironically, there is OSHO discourse on a similar situation. He had a young man who became obsessed with his wife's nose. So Radjnish told him to go and meditate on his wife's nose. After few months of doing so, young man returned and said how foolish he was and how beautiful his wife is. Might do that as well.

For what it’s worth, many comments have been made about that overbite on the standard grill. Frankly, I think the license plate frame actually helps it, unlike the f-sport. The f-sport looks much better, and is the standard grill shape outside of North America (although it still has the horizontal bars like the standard grill). The f-sport grill really looks a lot better without the license plate though - just my opinion of course.

Anyway, that is really the only part of the external appearance I had any issue with. I decided I would get used to it, and I did. I just don’t understand why they butchered the grill’s shape when they obviously could build a nice one that clearly meets North American safety requirements.

The front of the F-Sport is def. better than the non f-sport ones. It looks more square and meaner. Personally, I like the nose! The only thing I would change is the unpainted black plastic contour around the fenders (too similar to the RAV4...) & the rear trunk spoiler that I would have made just a little bigger.

It has little to do with safety standards, it is a work around for the CAFE Fuel Economy Standards...
Cars and Trucks are rated and grouped separately. Trucks have greater "approach angles" which
is a measurement of the angle the car (oops, truck) can approach before the bottom of the grill
touches the barrier. Look online at the NX's that are sold in England/Europe. Note the lower
valance is lower and sticks out further. Lexus USA gets to rate ours as Trucks where they
bring the Corporate Average Fuel Economy "CAFE" of all Lexus Trucks higher. Now they
can sell more 15 MPG GX's and LX's!

Related to this is why the roof rack cross rails are now optional. A) not many folks really used
them B) they created wind noise and C) they cut the fuel economy a bit. If you added them as
an accessory it did not change the original rating "as equipped with standard equipment"

Yep... Always about marketing!

For instance, the Nissan Leafs EPA range jumped from 75 to 84 miles from 2013 to 2014 (I believe) with no modifications made to the battery or software. Why? They removed the 80% maximum charge built-in feature so they could display 84 miles on their website & window stickers. Now owners are angry BC they must have an intelligent charger or a timer on their non-intelligent chargers to stop their charging cycle at 80%.
