My NX steering wheel makes noise like a squeaking, is that normal?
Hi,
My NX 300h has ~3000km, and the steering wheel makes a little bit noise like a squeaking.
Is that normal for a new car? Should I bring it back to the dealership?

Over two years with our NX and I haven’t heard anything like that. It’s on warranty so the only cost is your time to have the dealer check it out. I would probably give it some time to see if it is just cold weather related, but if it persists, I would definitely have the dealer check it. New cars shouldn’t have squeaks and rattles, but there is so much plastic in cars today that they can be more sensitive to temperature extremes.

Just like GM, Toyota was plagued with ISS - intermediate steering shaft - issues. They normally clunk in turns, but might as well squeak. It's rather hard to tell without actually hearing and feeling the steering wheel, as ISS feels in wheel itself.
I join the choir - you paid hefty and it's LEXUS, supposed to be Toyota flagship, so let them have it.

Mine sometimes produces a slight grinding noise. At first I thought it was the springs in the suspension that was causing it, but according to the techs, its a spiral cable inside the steering column, and was considered "normal". 
But the loaner I got for something else also made the same noise, so, ....

My wife's NX300 has about 30K miles and the steering had squeaking noise when turning in parking lot speed.
Replaced the spiral cable under warranty and everything is good now.
