Default NX in Mitsubishi Clothing?

Much like Car and Driver, I see a lot of similarities in the new Eclipse Cross and the NX. I mean the imitation is blatant in some places. Is it just me or do you see it too?

And what's up with the double spoiler out back!?

I've always been a Mitsubishi Fan. Used to have a Montero Sport and Endeavor and they were both super reliable. People and the auto media have been saying they will be gone in the US market and their factory in Illinois will be closed for so long and look at them, they are still here. Not many sales but their dealer network is small. I actually like this SUV, but then again I own the NX and it looks like the NX lol. Kudos to Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi is far from Lexus, they used to have nice vehicles design but they went down the drain.

Not bad except for the double spoiler in back. Their Outlander Sport looks Audi Q3/5 ish to me. A new Mitsubishi dealership just opened not too far from me. Kind of surprising.

It is a decent looking SUV. It's just really evident the NX was used as inspiration. The dash is the same and it even has the remote touch interface! Why would anyone want to copy it, especially considering how it's universally criticized.

I've noticed that many of the compact SUVs are starting to look very similar. I'm not entirely sure who is copying who...

But I do agree, that Mitsubishi is a nice looking vehicle.

Thumbs up

Wow, I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I opened up the link. I thought it was a 2018 NX refresh(maybe more like hoping). The front is much better than the NX large mouth bass design, maybe Lexus can clone this! The rear however is troubling. I wonder how much that cross bar affects the rear vision? The interior is also totally NX including the pop tart video and the damned touchpad. That's a deal killer.

I beg to disagree. The inspiration for the Aztec's design was a dumpster. This doesn't look anything like a dumpster.
