Lexus/Toyota Hybrids have two (2) Motor-Generator Units in the FWD
models and three (3) on the AWD's. They all use electricity to gain
momentum and then use the momentum to regain the electricity.
The AWD NX and RX have some (almost imperceptible) difference
in deceleration balance as all four wheels contribute. The last generation
RX450h was actually quicker (7.2 vs 7.7 sec 0-60) than the 350 gas
but that is not true of the 2016 RX or the NX we're discussing now.

My broker found a hybrid version for 3K below sticker price, its a color combo I like but its at a dealership almost 2 hours away. Downside it's that its an AWD which I find obsolete here in the LA area where we have we rarely have any rain. I am also worried about the long-term reliability of the AWD system since I plan keeping the vehicle long term. Any thoughts?

So I ended up going with a fully loaded FWD F-Sport. So far I am loving the ride and the gas mileage has been OK so far. I am already excited about beginning the mods on it. Few questions for you guys here.
1. Can the power lift gate be used only manually? I put stuff in my trunk almost every day and I am worried about the longevity of the motor so I would much rather use it manually if possible. Also, how do I adjust how high it opens up?
2. On average, how many miles do have you guys been getting to the gas tank on ECO mode?
3. Can the auto parking brake be disabled and only used when one wants to?
Here she is, my new baby in Nebula Gray w/all black interior!

check out page 120 of the manual for how to set the height of the back door. You want to experiment with that outside of your garage if it's a low garage door. Don't think you can just operate it manually very easily,

I'm biased, but Nebula Grey Pearl is my favorite color. All the NX's accents look great with that color. Especially with blacked-out emblems.
