I parked underneath my basketball rim and for some reason the wind was strong enough to push it over, resulting in the rim landing on the window trim/door:







The pics is after i cleaned it and tried to straighten out the window trim but i'm ******* pissed!

Should i go through insurance for this? Any idea's on how much this will cost? Will my insurance go up? I have Progressive.

Where can i buy the window trim, i just want to purchase that piece asap so i can just pop it on.

Oh man, sorry to see this. I feel your pain.

The partial good news from what I can tell is I see barely a dent on the door while the red and gray marks can be wet sanded and polished out to 95% as new. They can pop out the dent. So only the chrome trim should need replacing. I don't see this being more than a $200-$400 job total by a local reputable body shop. So I'd definitely skip the insurance on this one and bite the bullet.

There's lexusparts.ca (similar to what Sewell used to have) in Canada. If they won't ship to the US, at least you can get the part #

Your still gonna need bondo. Your looking at 400-600 to paint that door. U might be able to look for a cheap body shop that will do it for 200 but pay a bit more so u know your gonna get quality.

It would drive me nuts knowing any repair will now have bondo on that door although the damage is not that bad and maybe a dent service can do their magic and remove the dent for you paintless repair!
