Steering Wheel creases avoidable?
Hey all,
Love my NX I got brand new on 3/22. I don't even have 200 miles on it and beginning to see the steering wheel creases others have seen. Do you think this amount of wear is abnormal? If I get it switched, will it just happen again, meaning is it even worth addressing?
Thanks,
Ryan

I brought this up to my dealer when I brought it in for service, they looked at new NX's and saw the same wrinkles, so they said there's nothing they can do. I think CorradoMR posted a pic from Lexus showing a different Lexus car and that promo pic showed some wrinkles.

Thanks! I did read that thread and the one person who got theirs replaced by the dealer. Seems like it's bound to happen regardless so I'll consider it adding character!

Isn't that supposed to be how it's like?
It's leather, all leather products are supposed to look unique, it's part of the craftsmanship! I wouldn't want my mass-produced, highly precise iPhone to be like that, but on a luxury car's leather steering wheel? Yes!

I would have thought the same, but I looked at our 2015 IS250, the steering wheel on that looks tons better in regards to wrinkles, and it's a few months older than our NX.

Leather is probably sourced differently and is stitched together differently. I haven't noticed what mine looks like because I have a steering wheel cover on mine.
