Question for you guys
I see there are two part numbers, one for Gas and Hybrid,
PT944-78150 vs PT944-78152
Is the difference in Color of the illumination possibly? I know for Lexus IS models in Japan there is Hybrid version that is lit in BLUE but there is an American version that lights up WHITE. is it the case with these two different part numbers as well?

The gas models light up white.
The Hybrid models light up blue. Other than that they are identical. I chose white because everything else in the wife's NX is white so it looks perfect. Blue would look cool as well but there is nothing blue inside that lights up.
Hope that helps.

Wanted to update. Followed the directions listed here and installed these (same part number for 2018) on the NX. Installation took about 35-40 minutes. It wasn't bad at all. Everything is 100% plug and play and it's super simple to do.
I'll post pictures tomorrow. I do wish we had the option for the rear sills but the fronts are nice. They come on bright when you open the door then dim down at night. They can be shut off completely if you turn the brightness down all the way on the dash at the last setting which in turn also turns off the footwell lighting.
I picked up the door sills online for $265 which is half of what the option would have cost had it been ordered new/from the factory.

Would you be so kind to post some pictures of your upgrade ?
What at does it mean it’s plug and play? Have you found some connectors below the old sills?
I have also NX 300 2018.
thanks.

I'll have to snap some pictures in a week or two when I get back into town.
Plug and play meaning you do not have to cut anything to install these illuminated sills. The simply connect to the factory foot well lighting. The longest part is simply taking the 3-4 screws off the foot well cover plate, and then removing the old sill. The install honestly should only take about 30 minutes. Anyone should be able to do this quite easily. The illuminated door sills come with a t connection on the harness. One end goes to the stock footwell connectors then the other end plugs back into the harness for the door sills. You simply run the wire down the side of the door sill and it snaps in.
Illumination turns off when you dim the lights all the way down in the cabin. When you open the door the sills light up bright, and then dim down after about 10 second or so. The are always on when you are in the cabin so you can see them at night.
It probably would not be hard to modify a set to get rear illuminated door sills. If I can find a cheap par of illuminated door sills I would probably take them apart and retro fit them in the rear... but for the time being this is fine. Lexus/Toyota should have had all 4 door sills illuminated honestly. Especially if you paid the outrageous price of $450 as an option. I picked up one set off ebay brand new for $250 I think. Then I found another set for about $175. Seller had a couple sets actually. He had them as used but they were clearly brand new. All with factory items that came with the kit. Was a super good deal honestly.
