Rear hatch issue -- hoping to avoid having to go back to the dealer
I've been beyond thrilled and enjoying my NX300h since picking it up in early March. Just took it into the dealer for its 5,000 mile (ok, so more like 5800 mile) look-over yesterday. All was well, and there was no reason to check anything out before leaving. Arrived at the golf course today and went to open the rear hatch to get my clubs. Couldn't get it to release and lift from the back. Clicked the button on the "key" fob -- nothing. Went to the front and unlocked all the doors (used to have to do that on my old RX) -- nothing. Hit the button to lift the hatch below/left of the steering column -- nothing. Didn't see anything in the manual addressing this. Lifting that sucker manually, and then having to close it manually, did a number on my right shoulder.
Has this happened to anyone? Is there something really obvious that I might be missing here? In the 9-10 years I had my RX, I never had a situation where I brought it into the dealer for anything, and then found that something that wasn't broken was not working after I left.

The dealer must have disabled the power hatch. Check the settings in the 4.2 inch display controlled by your steering wheel buttons. I bet that's it.

Thanks; I was hoping you might have seen this post and reply. I started trying to look for that particular setting on the display when I got home earlier this evening, but after an afternoon of dodging rain drops on the golf course, I didn't have too much patience. All I saw was the setting to tell the hatch how far to open. Must be another setting to look for which I'll do in the morning.

Quick follow up: went out to follow up on Corrado's suggestion and very helpful photo. Sure enough, the auto-hatch lift had been turned to the "off" position! Not sure when/how that happened (I really can't say whether it was at the dealer, or simply having hit the switch at the wrong time). Turned the auto-hatch lift back to the "on" position, and all is back on track again. (Well, my right shoulder is still feeling a bit strained from the manual open/close yesterday, although that could also have been one of many bad golf swings.)

My sales guy told me that if I have hit down on the hatch then stop it manually or do anything to interfere with it that it may switch itself to off. Just a safety feature.

GlenK might be right on the disabling.
And I agree, manually operating the rear hatch is a pain, literally. Hopefully anyone rarely needs to manually override it.

I think I read somewhere that the hatch is made of aluminum for the manual version and normal sheet metal for the power version. I took that with a grain of salt. I can see them using the same hatch in the entire production line, and remove the power motor and controls to save costs and weight.
