something about the proportions seems off to me, and the front 'snout' is yuuuuge. also not a fan of the black wheel arch coverings.

After looking at pictures that show more details of the interior, NX seems to be closer to IS than the current RX in terms of finish and material. The seat construction details in current RX are not found here. RX is definitely more expensive car in terms of interior appointment. It would be interesting to see what the next RX would look like.
From 2IS to 3IS, some sacrifice is made in the interior material but gaining more technology
integration. This trend can be seen in NX as well despite this is the 1st gen model.
Overall, the NX looks very stylish. It will be interesting to see its handling and performance and how it is compared to its rival in the segment.

Not digging the metal polished F-Sport wheels and blackout trim all over. I preferred the prior leaked photo's graphite wheels. Perhaps it's the contrast with the Sonic White paint. I am liking the Atomic Silver (or what appears to be) F-Sport though. I have a feeling the NX will be best in the medium to darker colors. Overall, still a winner.

Is that extra padded layer on the dash in the 300h there for the HUD? It's not there on the F-Sport's interior...

Love it, looks great in the pictures and I will agree with some current sentiment, I'm not liking the black fender arches and side mirrors, I really don't understand it.
Regardless, this car will sell sell sell.
It's pretty crazy how Lexus has been making cars that I personally can imagine myself driving in. This is what makes people want to buy a car.

Agree, but for the IS (and NX) price point, the vehicles have competitive materials.
