NX 2022 keeps asking for my PIN
I think getting rid of the pin number popup is a lost cause. My 2022 NX 350 had the issue and so does my 2025. Seems to happen when i

You can try what I am now doing. I just unlinked my key and phone to my profile and now drive as "guest". I linked my phone to the guest profile and I can now use Carplay without ever having to enter a PIN. I don't see that I am losing any features driving as a guest, at least anything that I need.
Other than the day I picked up my NX in March 2023 when we did the initial setup with my phone and the car, I don't recall ever needing to enter my PIN again. I'm actually not quite even sure what it is anymore
But for what its worth, outside of that initial basic setup, I've done nothing else. I've never specifically linked any of my key fobs to my profile or tried to link seat positions to profile, or anything beyond that initial setup. Not sure if that makes any difference or not but just thought I'd throw that out there. My wife linked her phone's BT as an additional connection to the car within the initial profile settings but has no separate settings at all. I also have driven thru areas of weak signal and had some occasional drop outs of connectivity, but never asked for a PIN in those situations either. Back in the day I would have been really keen to explore all the possibilities, but after 40 yrs in IT fixing all kinds of weird computer issues and debugging code, these things no longer interest me. In my case the profile functionality is a solution looking for a problem I don't have.

I'm getting this random popup but rarely. It may be going away by itself if I don't enter the PIN. Or I just close the popup.
It's ridiculous how the corporate have policy for dealers to install the app and show to the clients on delivery, but the app itself is buggy or some would say garbage. So out of touch with their own product performance. They would be better hiding it in a deep dark place before it it's made fully functional.

My wife's keeps asking for PIN again, second time thru this particular problem. BUT, if you search for my posts on the updates, I've lost any voice type functions as well, and Lexus USA has no plan to fix. Wife wants it gone. Oh well, 'twas a nice try....
The only way I have found to not get those PIN requests is to drive in Guest mode. Delete or unpair your wife's profile and only use the Carplay setting so n your smart phone to connect with the car. I have no idea about the voice functions.
I have had this problem for over two years and Lexus has been unable to fix it after numerous tries. My current solution has been to unlink my profile and drive as a "Guest". I have added a Guest to my app and my key and Iphone are linked to the car. My driver settings (radio stations, seat position, etc) are always there. So far I have not noticed that I am missing any features and most importantly I do not get the PIN pop up requests driving as Guest. It is unfortunate that Lexus could not fix this and if nothing else, eliminate the need for a PIN altogether. I still don't understand what the PIN is protecting. If my car was stolen, I would not be concerned about the person knowing my seat position or what radio stations I listen to. Am I missing something?

I would be out of my mind angry about this too. On the password protection of your profile though, it’s not to safeguard your seat position, rather it’s to make sure a thief or valet can not open your maps and drive the vehicle straight to your home (where they know you are not at). If your phone is in or near your car, they would have access to various apps on there too.
Appreciate your answer. I do not have subscription to Lexus maps, I only use my phone maps via Carplay. I never leave my phone in the car so am not worried about a car thief having access to its information. Even if I did leave the phone I cannot imagine a car thief driving to my home.
This thread was very helpful. We got our 2024 NX350h last May and just recently had the PIN prompt pop up and now it does it all the time. I didn’t even know I had a PIN. So, based on instructions above, I’ve reset the PIN and we’ll see what happens. That said, I want to make a call out on Lexus of Greenville. I called yesterday morning and left a message with their tech person. No return call. So I called again this morning and the service desk took a message for the tech person and still no return call. Kind of disappointed but I guess they’re not calling cause they don’t know how to fix it. They should just say so.
Very interesting thread. We have a 2024 LC with same pin pop up issues since purchase in November. Very annoying & somewhat of a safety issue as it distracts when it pops up while driving. Dealer has had the car four separate times for over a cumulative 30 days with no solution. We may go the guest driver route, but this is not right that Lexus doesn’t understand & fix these issues. Since I’m retired, I’m going to keep working on the dealer, when I get a loaner I really like might go to Montana for vacation. Ha. Seriously the loaners make the problem less impactful, but it should be fixed.
I totally agree with you. I have had the car for almost three years now and have had this problem from the beginning. Despite several trips to the dealer it has not been fixed. I have continued to drive in the Guest mode but this not a solution to the problem. I don't even understand why we need a PIN and what security issues we are protecting with it. At the least, Lexus should allow us to delete this PIN security option. I am now shopping for a different car as this problem has been so annoying.

In my opinion, this is a cultural issue. The Japanese is famously strong in hardware but weak in software.
Another stupifyingly annoying Lexus "feature": you can set memorized seat positions, but you can't recall them unless you pull over, put the car in P, then attempt to get back into a busy highway. How is that safer? The Germans do it (mostly) right.
