Hello all,

From Europe here, my father bought a NX450H+ Executive Line, TERRANE KHAKI METALLIC with Hazel leather interior, hopefully arriving early march next year.

Lexus is not a very large brand in Europe and there is even less of an aftermarket for them, tons for Audi, BMW, Porsche, VW Range Rover etc. etc. but bassically zero for Lexus. It's also not on any Lexus options list abroad, so we will have to look elsewhere.

The US is far bigger in aftermarket and in my experience always very fast in offering aftermarket parts for new models. My mother due to a small dissabllity has trouble getting in and out of cars, low models or high models does not matter. So for the NX450 we are looking into having electric runningboards installed so she has that extra step to help.


Problem is i cannot find very much information or experiences from other drivers. Since the NX is already on the road in the US i decided to join this forum and ask here, i'm sure somebody has them installed perhaps someone on this board even :-) .


Anyone have electric running boards installed? Brand? Are they plug and play? Quaility?


Is there a difference between the 450h and 350h for runningboards. Perhaps 1st gen NX runningboards would fit and work?


You can find some on Alibaba for the NX450 already for cheap but well, yeah, not on a Lexus as a first second or third choice.

Are there any of the shelf ones you would recommend or perhaps recommend a company that custom builds them, there are some universal ones, but it does also matter they fit nice and snug under the car.

I don't have running boards installed on my 450h+, hopefully someone here has installed and can give you some direct info on what they used.

Just googling around to see if there are any runboards and it looks like all models 250/350/350h/450h+ parts will be compatible. Never used them and don't know if they are good or not.
