Default Removing Sirius Favorites

Sorry if this has been answered before, couldn't find the topic since it's the newer media console. Our Sirius subscription expired and we're not renewing. However I'm unable to remove the stations from the favorites presets. Every time I click on the station I just get a notification to call Sirius to renew the sub so I'm unable to unclick the heart. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Overwrite the unwanted satellite stations with useful FM or AM stations.
Be sure to overwrite them all, if you enjoy scrolling through your presets
with the steering wheel rocker and select Any out of service XM preset it
will stall with the "please re-subscribe" propaganda and not advance further.

Tap the name of the currently playing station at the bottom, where it brings you to the view with favorites on the left.
Click edit at the top of the list of favorites, then hit the minus for the SXM stations you want to remove.
Overwriting is no longer necessary like previous systems.
