Hello everyone. I will eventually be removing my stock run flats with the cross climate 2 but until then would like to have a spare tire to take on long trips and store in the garage while driving locally. I am curious though have you just purchased an extra tire and threw it on an old rim or what did you purchase for the spare.

 

I picked up a cheap donut spare tire from a 5 year old RX never used that is the same size that comes stock with the new NX250. T165/90D18 107M

Like your plan I only take it along on extended road trips in my NX350h where it can fit behind the passenger seat in a tire bag. Around town I just rely on Lexus Roadside Assistance.
