I know I've seen a thread or two on this topic, so thought I'd share this. As a disclaimer, this is not an advertisement and I'm not getting compensated in any way. Before you read on, the mats I'm referring to are NOT all weather type mats. The last 2 vehicles my wife had, we ordered custom fit protective clear mats from a company called Exactmats (a google search will provide their website). I kept checking their site to see if they had anything yet for the new NX. I finally contacted the company to ask when they might have something. As it turns out, they were having the same issue many of us are having or have had in finding a NX in stock so that they could measure the mat set. They offered to send me materials to trace out the mats in my NX 350h and, in exchange, they would provide me the very first set of mats at no cost. In only about a week after I traced out the mats and sent the materials back to them, the mats showed up at my door today. They look and fit just like others we have had from them. They are not made to catch spills, etc. but do a great job of protecting the factory mats and catching small amounts of dirt from your shoes. They also do a great job of grabbing the factory mats and not sliding out of place. Take it for what it's worth and check them out if interested.

Are these at all like office chair mats? That's what the images on the website remind me of. Are they more or less flexible?

 

That is sort of what they look like but they are more flexible.
