After 3 months of waiting I got allocated an Atomic Silver with Black open pore wood interior and was given the VIN yesterday. I put a deposit today just to secure the allocation and tried the link to check the VIN but I'm getting error..not sure how long it takes for the VIN to generate after being provided by the SA or if anybody recently had luck using the link recently? So nice to see that there's a lot of peeps in this forum that I'm in the same page of waiting and getting antsy Thanks in advance!
Are you in the US? How mine worked (shipped from Japan to Long Beach, then from Long Beach to dealer) was that the Monroney Sticker isn't generated until it's done being processed at the port. After then it could be anywhere from a week to a bit over a month before it leaves the port.

I’m based here in US, Ohio state to be specific. I asked my SA where is the vehicle coming from he said it’ll be up in Canada. He gave me an eta of about a month. I think they are only being allocated 2-4 350H every month. What package you got?
So my salesguy informed me today that my car was confirmed built, and loaded on the train from Cambridge to Atlanta. He sent me a screenshot of some tool the dealership uses, and it has the rail car that my NX was loaded on - Canadian Pacific Rail/TTGX980580.
Anyone know how to track the location of this rail car? I've seen several online trackers that claim to let you do it, but in my experience they're either paid services (which I'm not going to do) or they don't work.
How long from putting your deposit down did it take to receive your car from the dealer?
Also, do you know if there is such a thing as a temporary vin number?
Feeling very frustrated waiting for my car that was a cancellation by someone else. Paid deposit beginning of April.
FWIW, on June 20 our salesman found an allotment for a fully loaded NX350 Luxury that had everything I wanted, though the colors weren't quite ideal (eminent white over black, which I'm now quite comfortable with). It was built in Cambridge on July 8 (my birthday) and July 9, shipped by rail and truck, and arrived at the dealership in Jacksonville, Florida, this past Saturday, July 23 (my grandson's birthday). We're picking it up later today.
Yes, there is such a thing as a temporary VIN, which the salesman gave us early in this process, though it had no functional use to me. Just before the car was built, that turned into the real VIN. Dealers have an online tool like the one attached that helps them track allotted vehicles. This one applies to those built in Cambridge. Theoretically, Lexus provides something like this to dealers for cars built in Japan. If you press your sales associate, he/she ought to be able to keep you updated on the status of your vehicle.

This is super helpful, thanks for the info and congrats on your new car!
My car was rail depart on 12th June from Cambridge. The dealer are saying it is at the railhead waiting to be processed. Railhead is approximately 15 miles from the dealer. Dealer says they are helpless until the freight company update them.
I ordered my NX350 July 20/22 have vin number and was told it would be at dealer in 30 days. Now it maybe another 30 days.
Only problem that there is a pending railway strike on Sept 15 and it could lead to a trucker strike. My car is probably sitting in Port of Los Angeles > Not arriving in Phoenix, AZ anytime soon.
Is anyone else in same predicament ??
