Thx gcskoor…I’ve had a very ruff time with my NX450h. If I jump back in, I’d want to know that my Lexus would work like a Lexus.
The big question is the choice of profile…I think that’s the root issue. Is the choice of profile gone when the 14” display is deleted?
Is there a lumbar adjustment on driver’s side?

I would be very surprised to see a profile difference based on screen size. I did a lot of SW design as an IT Architect, if someone came to me, and said let's make the small screen features different to upsell, it would respond the SW support and testing that just would make this a highly unrecommended decision. For example, neither macOS or Windows play this game. I am gong to be very surprised, if one sees any functions difference other than just a larger screen (maybe a better processor/ram TBD ), but the cost to maintain test, document, and train customer support reps on the SW probably over the supported life of the unit would be swamped by the profit of just the one time screen size upgrade. Plus the customer sat issues. It just an upsell- bigger is nicer- hopefully that is it. And I don't recall on other cars that have screen size options hearing about loss of functions. With SW, you can do anything, so all is possible. LOL. But if really concerned, pull down the Lexus manuals on the head unit/control and look for fuctional difference by screen size.
But the seats- that maybe a consideration, The luxury package gives you 4way lumbar vs the 2 way. I don't tend to notice seats controls or use lumbar, so actually forgot about this difference. . But I know to some, that would could be a showstopper too.
Just to be clear, I only have a 350h Lux on order. I had initially placed a order for a 450h+, but I realized that a 350h, would be a better chose for me for several reasons . And I qualified for the tax credit, so a tough decision. And one reason I ask a lot of questions now on the forums. I hate surprises. All the pre-production cars, all the weird, unnecessary options by trim, and online build configurator problems have made this discovery process very difficulty. It could have been so simple to just add want you want or don't want. And it not like we can go and just test drive one- my dealer has all pre-sold and not even a demo.
I have the HUD and love it. The video above doesn't show it but LSS 3.0 is chatty in the HUD - meaning it warns you on left and right cars and shows you when it doesn't know where the left and right lines are. The lane change is cool - but not really needed. The only time LSS let me down was in a snow storm. In a snow storm my display lit up with one error after another. Once I was through the storm, cleared the sensors and everything was back to working. LSS 3.0 is also more active, when I was cut off the other day it applied the brakes and lit up BREAK faster then I could, I was impressed. The lane keep is the right balance - and the car stays centered in the lane - the speed reduction on curves is also helpful - works well except for very sharp curves.
Hi Dibara2018…interesting…that’s exactly how I would configure my 2nd NX, knowing what I know now. Have you been completely spared of the issues many of us have endured? It looks like your configuration does not give you a lumbar adjustment on the driver’s side? Thanks in advance.
Completely spared, no, but it seems a lot better than what you've encountered. My profile tends to load 90% of the time, but I also don't use the digital key. Correct on the 2-way lumbar only.
Does anyone have any demos of the Lane Change Assist part of LSS+ 3.0? That or the Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist (With Active Support). I think @NorthsideL was going to do a demo of the Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking in their Part 2 Video (Or I can be completely daft and imagining things)
Lexus doesn't do a good job of really demonstrating their new LSS 3.0 safety tech IMO - all the videos from older safety system versions.
Just managed to get a video of the lane change assist. Not a great vid but you can see on the cluster it showing the lane change animation, then the car moves over. I only had a few fingers on the wheel not applying any force, car did all the turning. It was also during a curve on the highway as well and the car had zero issues! Very happy with how it worked.

is this a case of mistaken identity? Am I crazy lol!
You might have mistaken me for another maybe! I have a black executive trim (not sure what it's called in the states) 450h+ which is the top spec non f sport one for the 450h+ and has the tri beam
