450h+ Road Power Adapters
I have done a lot of research on RAV4 and Prius Prime sites regarding the charges that are included in those vehicles and compared those ratings to my charger and have come to the conclusion that it is possible to use the stock charger in a 5-15 outlet configured for 240 Volts. I am going to try it - it should reduce my charging time with the included charger from 12 hours to 5.5 hours - with only adapters.
At home I have installed a 14-50 outlet and that has reduced my charging time to 2.5 hours - but what on the road? I wanted to assemble an adapter kit to allow the included charger deliver the optimal charging times when on the road.
This is what I have ordered to convert 14-50 to 6-50 - Then this is used to convert 6-50 to 5-15 - . This output from this adapter will look like a normal household outlet - but it it NOT - it will be 240V and will damage any device plugged in that is not designed for that voltage.
And previously I ordered this to convert from a Tesla to J1772 - .
This means I can charge on the road from a wall outlet (5-15), Tesla Destination, 14-50, and 6-50 plugs.
My next goal is to find a solution to CCS charging, the top of the type 2 connectors is a J1772 (AC) - minus the DC ports - an adapter should be possible to be allow the 450h+ to charge on a level 3 charger then at level 2 specifications, but so far I have not found anyone who has done it - so maybe I am missing something.
Anyway I thought this might help others who have become as obsessed at I have with the possibilities of the 450h+. I filled up the last week of January and so far have not used the engine at all.
Everything is ordered I will know by Thursday.

Same car, same state, included charger - 110V - directly plugged in.
Same car, same state, included charger - 230V - using adapters - twice as fast.
This is what it looks like attached.
Using these adapters allows me to cut in half the charge time using the included charger.
Same car, same state, this is using my wall mounted level 2 charger with no adapters.
Must e me because I'm not following you. I went to the links you provided and saw a Power Panel and an adapter. Then your photos of your setup doesn't look anything like the material list you provided. Then I'm not sure where after gathering the adapters and such where or how to use it with the 120v OEM charger.
I say that because it also appears you purchased a Tesla to J1772 connector. Are all the pieces put together to use at a Tesla Charger or is the Tesla to J1772 connector used ONLY with the original OEM charger and a Tesla connector at the Tesla charger?
Okay, I think I confused my self. Why would I need a Panel? And then only the one adapter to get to 240v? HELP me understand please because I pick up my 450h+ in 2 weeks.
Thanks and I apologize for being so dumb.
