We have been vacationing for the month of May since 5/1 in AZ, far from our home in MA.
My 25 NX350 is safely home in my garage in MA.
On my Lexus app today I tried to lock my doors, just to see if I can do it from here (in AZ).
It didn’t lock and I received a message from Lexus of the failure and to try again, I tried again , no luck.
I haven’t started my NX since April 30th, maybe the battery is low.
Could I just be too far away ?

 

It's possible after about a month now. Have you tried any other features like remote start?

 

I wouldn't use remote start if it's in a garage. What if you start it but can't stop it. I know it's only supposed to run for about 10 minutes I think. The app relies on cellular connectivity, if you have good cell service at home where the car is and good service where your phone is everything should work, it's no difference then sending and receiving a text msg. If you didn't put the battery on a trickle charger then yes the voltage of the 12volt may be too low to initiate proper communication with the car.

 

No I didn’t attempt remote start, didn’t want to not being there.

 

The car goes into deep sleep mode after a period of time. I don't remember if it was 7 days or 10 days. After that Remote connect won't work.
