Toyota hybrids
I would say there's a pretty good bet that they will have issues. The fact that I believe all Toyota / Lexus models are capable of over the air updates and the ability to use a cell phone app to communicate to your car and GPS supplied mapping is over the air too. These all use the power of the 12 volt battery when the car is not even turned on, is the root cause of the slow drain on the 12 volt when it's not being driven. The other simple fact that NX and RX owners have not seen anything from Toyota / Lexus to help update or resolve this issue points to the high probability that they really haven't done anything to resolve it. So the Signia may also struggle with it.

Well I think our good friend Dustin at Performance Lexus has just possibly let the cat out of the bag in his latest Your Lexus Questions Answered video when he answers 'Why does my hybrid NX die when I don't drive it?" Start at time stamp 3:52 where he eventually says at 4:35 "Lexus Engineers know that it's a problem and they're working on it." Hmm?

You can't take salesmen seriously. It's universal scripted answer marketing & support people are trained to provide - "we are aware of the problem, we are working very hard on it, you are very important and we are paying attention, keep spending money with us 😉"
I was also told that Lexus is working on a solution to the theft issue in the area where I live. Supposed to be launching some locally made Lexus branded hardware "this spring". Also supposed to be working with insurers to reduce cost of coverage for 2026 and onwards due to the additional anti-theft things they added to this model year. Well, I checked last month and my insurer (one of the ones mentioned in the conversation) still has a $1500.00 surcharge annually over and above your already pretty substantial premium to insure an RX, unless you have an immobilizer. Then you get a discount on the surcharge to only $500.00 annually
Technically it's still spring, but ya, not putting much faith in what is said. Show me!

I hear you JASDMW I had a little chuckle! My father worked over 30 years in industrial sales. I know all the snake oil tricks!
I worked for a while in sales too. If they've taken this long it would amount to probably be at least 7 or 8 years they've known about the problem maybe longer. The design was most likely first used in Rav4 last model when the Prime came out for sure, and they would've been testing it out during Covid if not earlier. So the horse has left the barn, grown old and died by now. The fix will most likely arrive with the next model in '27. I'll make sure though to leave a comment for Dustin on one of his upcoming videos to ask where's the fix.
On a bit of a side note to all here in Canada, I'm not sure about other parts of the world, but if you have any kind of Affiliation with any educational or professional organization like a College or University or a Union or any licensing body for your business or field accreditation, you may have some form of group discount connected with the said organization. One such is Venngo. Anyways the group discounts may include insurance for homes and auto etc. We get a considerable discount with my wife's affiliate and I checked high and low last fall and no one could get close to our current home and auto rate. I tried our bank, Costco, CAA (that's AAA in US) etc. Anyways it never hurts to look around. And always make sure you're quoting apples to apples. Our Ontario auto insurance regulations keep on pulling more and more standard coverage away and the government claims it's hard work is creating savings for everyone when actually allowing a reduction in coverage!
